Exposure to Household Mold During Infancy May Trigger Asthma

A new study seems to show a link between the exposure to household mold during infancy and the development of asthma. Over 7 years, researchers followed 176 children with a high risk of developing asthma due to family medical history. Of these 176 children, 18 percent of these children developed asthma. Of the children who developed asthma, those exposed to household mold were three times as likely to develop asthma by age 7 than those who weren't exposed to mold.
